So I have been looking into several different AI music generation tools online. I am testing these using their limited free versions of these services. They are getting better and newer ones are offering a better sound.

So I stumbled across Beatbox.fm on Tik Tok and it looked good so I thought I would check it out. Beatbox.fm is a stated as being a full AI songmaker and so will generate the beat the lyrics and the vocals which sounds amazing, but I ran into a few issues. The main problem I found was that the AI vocals generation failed most of the time. When it did work I didnt always like the quality or voice. The beats on the otherhand were quite good. The free version limits you to a short song clip.

How does the AI Songmaker work?

At present the AI Songmaker is very easy to use and can be used by novices or more amateur producers who are looking for hooks, beats or ideas for lyrics. You start off by giving it a prompt similar to AI Image Generation sites. You can keep it simple, you can also let the site make a random prompt for you or you can go into detail. The more details you give it the more chances you will get a song that meets your expectation. You can tell it what you want the lyrics to be about, whether you want a male or female singer, the beat tempo and the genre or style of music.

Example Prompt for the AI Songmaker

Autogenerated Prompt:
“growing up poor but making it big, trap music”

You can also use something like ChatGPT to generate a prompt for you for example:
Title: “Urban Rhythms”
Genre: Hip Hop
Mood: Energetic, Urban
Key: D minor
Tempo: 90 BPM
Lyric Theme: Empowerment and Determination
Prompt: Create a captivating and infectious hip hop hook that embodies the spirit of urban life and inspires listeners with a message of empowerment and determination. The hook should be rhythmic, catchy, and full of energy, capturing the essence of hip hop culture.

Lifetime Of Pain Song Made by AI

So this was the first AI Song it generated that I liked the sound of. The female singing vocals are soft, sound pretty realistic and avoids mumbling or mispronunciations. The beat is rather simple but works well with the vocals. Something that could make a good hook for a song.
